My wife & I just got back from Nags Head and boy was it nice to get away! Weather was beautiful but water was freezing so we did a lot of walking an sitting mainly.
A quick update to my futures’ scalping endeavor. It is progressing, although I will admit I have yet to turn it profitable. I sort of feel like I’m going through what Tiger Woods went through over the past few years as he was learning his new golf swing (Although, that is by no means to say that I am yet even close to as proficient at trading as Tiger is at golf). I might not be winning as many tournaments, but I feel as if it is the necessary next step in my devopment as a trader.
I do apologize for not posting my any stock picks recently. It is just that I have been so consumed with trying to learn and tweak this scalping system that I only have time for doing weekend analysis of the broad markets/sectors/stocks and these past couple weekends have been spent vacationing and/or visiting family (and I’m affraid this upcoming Memorial Day Weekend will be no different). It may soon get to the point where I have to devote more attention to my bread & butter (ie: Stock picks) for I can only stand to look at flat Daily PnL Statements but for so long.
That being said, I have created a spreadsheet designed specifically to monitor & rate ever single one of my scalp plays. I have only been using it for a day but already I am seeing some pretty illuminating results. I’m going to start posting my daily findings here on my blog in an effort to hold myself accountable and to highlight the demons that I fight daily in my trading so that others might see them in their own trading and learn ways in which to cope with them.
