All I can say about today is :-(

It was by far one of my worst days ever as measured by the mere quantity of mental errors that I made today. I wasn’t feeling well this morning and I guess that that’s what I get for trading anyway. I was at lunch when the big afternoon rally took off so I missed the most profitable move of the day.

What’s worse is that today my streak of 18 consecutive days without a losing day with my trend plays came to an end. It was close and it would not have come to an end had I taken profits from one of my trades sooner, but not only did I watch the profits evaporate, but I then was silly enough to take a full stop on the position. That was easily the difference in my day and despite all the other mistakes I made, I would have finished at just about break-even had I not been so stubborn and tunnel-visioned (I wanted it to get to the target that I deemed it ought get to despite 3 very potent warning signs telling me that it was going to reverse).

Don’t argue with the markets.

I’m going to go to bed early tonight and come back strong tomorrow. Just wasn’t on my game today.
