Well I got caught on the wrong side of the market today, & coupled with some bad calls which I’ll go over in a second, it turned what should have been another winning day into a slight loser.
SPLS: was scratched since it opened at 24.10, just afew pennies away from the target rendering the target non-tennable
TEVA: Should have been invalidated due to the gap up combined with a strong weekly chart. I actually didn’t enter this play in my real trading, but I have to count it as a loss here since the call was made and no rule was in place to counter it. However, going forward, any stock that is a Fade position & gaps in the direction of entry by more than .5% will be considered Void.
LOW: Was a great call but a bad target. When entering a breakout play into a gap such as this, the target should be conservatively set as close to entry as possible (which in this case would have been teh 2/21 high around $67). I got over-eager on this one and watched my profit evaporate. But as I said, Target selection is one of my weakest facets and I am sure that my criteria will continue to evolve as I develop further as a trader.
