2-22-2006 Daily Stock Picks Results

Well the score ended up being wrong in a bad way this morning as the markets didn’t need to re-test support before taking off. Ah well.

On the bright side, the tweaks that I made to my system seem to be paying off as I haven’t had an unprofitable day yet and the percentages are quite encouraging so far.

2/22/06 Results

All 3 of the stocks that triggered did well bringing in a total of 1.79 Risk Units between them. NTRI was slated to have been shorted On Open, but when the market opened, the price was already over the stop.

I don’t know what was going on with the AMH pick. All i can think of is that I must have been looking at AMH on my stock screener while looking at the chart of something else and transposed the two. Sorry for the confusion.

Overall, I had a solid day and am really looking forward to putting this new system to the test. I won’t really start pushing my leverage too much until I go through at least one really bad losing cycle as only then will I have a balance view of how my picks will hold up in the long run.

StockTracker Spreadsheet Update

Well, its only been out a day and already I’m coming out with bug fixes. This is a minor, but important one though. You can either download the latest version of the spreadsheet HERE< or you can make the adjustement within your current spreadsheet. The problem lies within the M-Column (AKA: Risk Unit)

To make the correction yourself you will have to unprotect the sheet. Then go to cell M9 and in the formula you will find two instances where it says:

(B9*2*$A$5)/200

The 200 needs to be replaced with $B$5 in each of these cases so that the the total formula will read:

=IF(J9=0,”",IF(K9>0,ABS(J9-H9)/ABS(H9-D9)-(B9*2*$A$5)/$B$5,IF(K9<0,-ABS(J9-H9)/ABS(H9-D9)-(B9*2*$A$5)/$B$5,”")))

Once you have this cell fixed, simply go to the lower right-hand corner of the cell until a + appears and drag the formula down to all the other cells and save the spreadsheet.

It might be a good idea to protect the sheet again if you are doing this manually so that no mistaken cell changes are made.

Sorry for any confusion,

Jason

This is what I have so far this morning. Each day I am getting more and more back into the swing of things after my break and after designing the new system. I wasn’t able to do any post market screening yesterday so the list is limited to only what I have been able to find in the last hour.

These cells should be editable for those of you who have downloaded the StockTracker Spreadsheet and wish to simply cut & paste the picks into it so that you can adjust it via your own risk preferences.

Happy Trading

2-22-2006 Pre-Market Score

-7

The signals are finally starting to converge a little clearer now after the past few days. I expect there to be a downward movement in the markets early with a possible bounce off support later in the day if the indices go down far enough.
