2-21-06 Daily Stock Picks Results

Other than the 3 picks this morning I really didn’t trade much today. Not because there weren’t opportunities, but I have just been swamped with a number of other projects that I have been working on.

Of the 2.5 picks I made this morning the XMSR trade made .11 R and the CSCO trade would have made .91 R if you had taken it (I did personally, but as I said, I will not include it in the ongong results since I didn’t make the correction in time)

Stock Tracker Spreadsheet is Released!

Well, here it is.

the StockTracker Spreadsheet version 1.0 has arrived! A screenshot of the spreadsheet can be seen below. This is the format that I will be using to post all of my future stock picks and recommendations. Help Files are also included and a link to their download is listed belolw. I have designed this spreadsheet to be 100% customizable to your own trading style and risk tolerance with an area to define your personal Maximum Risk Exposure per trade as well as a cell where you can adjust for the comission structure of your current broker.

Every day I will post the picks that I will personally be looking to trade that day as well as my Entry, Target, and Stop prices. Of the 3 prices, targeting is the area that is the most subjective and the area where I have the most room to grow. Nevertheless, all of the columns marked in white are editable so you can feel free to modify certaing picks here & there and the spreadsheet will automatically adjust for your appropriate position size based on your desired risk exposure.

In the mornings, I will post a copiable version of the White Areas of the spreadsheet so that anyone who has a copy can simply cut and past the cells directly from the website into the spreadsheet. However, in the afternoons when I post the daily results I will post this as a .jpg image which you will only be able to copy as an image, not the individual contents of each cell. I am doing this to save time and space as the .jpg image is much easier to throw on the website than formating the cells in HTML.

Areas in Green are formulas that should only be edited by people who are very familiar with Excel. I have added locked those cells that should not be edited, but there is no password on the sheet so to change these cells all you need to do is go to Tools–>Protection–>Unprotect Sheet

Please feel free to leave me your comments and impressions regarding the spreadsheet as well as any suggestions for improvements in future releases.

I have included help files which I would highly recommend you review and understand thoroughly before making any trades based on the spreadsheet. A .pdf version of the HELP FILES can be DOWNLOADED HERE

2-21-2006 Daily Stock Picks

Only 3 as of right now

XMSR L on open with a STOP under 20.99 and a 23.98 target
ORCT S if price rises to 29.75 with a stop over 31.02 and a target of 28.45

SNDK was a mistaken entry, I mean to have CSCO short on open with a stop over 19.97, I will NOT be including it in my results since I wasn’t able to make the correction by market open.

Sorry for any confusion.

2-21-2006 FOMC DAY

Sorry guys,

just realized that its an FOMC day which is why there’s so much uncertainty… I’ll blame that on on the long weekend. May post some gapping plays for the morning session, but I will likely not be doing much trading today until the uncertainty is resolved.

I will be releasing my StockTracker Spreadsheet later on today so stay tuned. With it, you will be able to position-size my daily picks based on your own risk management plan as well as tweak my numbers based on your own criteria if you wish. I’ll be including a help file with it and am putting the finishing touches on it now.

2-21-2006 Pre-Market Score

0

Another uncertain start with mixed signals on both sides. The markets are overbought and overdue for a pullback but there are enough factors present to keep the bias at neutral for the time being. I’ll be cautiously looking for opportunities on both sides.
