1-3-2006 Heartbreak

What an incredible day. Incredible is the only word to describe it really. As mentioned before, today’s Pre-Market Score was +10, only the 4th time it had happened. I had made a decision that whenever the score is so high, that I will leverage myself to the hilt going on open in the direction of the score, in this case long. For my protection, I set my stop below Friday’s low of 40.41 thinking that if that were to be violated, that further followthrough to the downside would likely ensue. This stop actually goes against the rules of the QQQQ System that I have spelled out which call for entry at the day’s open & exit at the day’s close, except in extreme cases which my stop hardly qualified. If I had stayed with my documented rules I would have made 1.62% on the day but as it were, I lost .77%

The system remains perfect with 10+ scores, but my personal loss will take a few days to recoup unfortunately. A well deserved lesson to me on discipline that I should do well to heed.

1-3-06 Results

The first chink in the Pre-Market Score showed itself today as today was the 4th time there was a PMS of 10 or greater and the market tanked on open. I was stopped out at 40.31 after entering at 40.65. 3/4 isn’t bad, but it hurts today :-/ Not how I wanted to start the new year, but what can you do but keep fighting.

1-3-06 Pre-Market Score

Today’s Pre-Market Score is +10. It has only been 10+ 3 times in the past and every time was a big day. Of course, past results are no guarantee of future performance but I will solely be playing the QQQQs long today personally. If it doensn’t work out, then oh well. But the odds are high enough imo to warrant the try.
